Marine Phytoplankton

 The oceans of our world have sustained life since the beginning of time. Microscopic marine plants are the foundation of the marine food chain. Specifically, Marine Phytoplankton is believed to be the first plant or food source on the Earth, and today, is the newest food source available to man!

 What is Marine Phytoplankton?

Phyto = "Light"

Plankton = "Floating/Suspended"

Scientists at NASA theorize that some 3 1/2 billion years ago, the world was changed forever. The appearance of tiny organisms with the ability to convert sunlight, warmth, water and minerals into protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and amino acids marked the beginning of life. Marine Phytoplankton, the single-cell plants are the basis of all other life forms on planet earth, they are the vegetation of the ocean. Marine phytoplankton are responsible for
approximately 50% of the carbon consumption and up to 90% of the oxygen production in the Earth's atmosphere.

Plankton have an alkaline pH, which is important, given the the acidity of our diets high in refined sugars, soda pop and farmed animals. The high density of nutrients found in algae is extremely important as these nutrients maintain human cell membranes in structure and function. This is vital for cell detoxification and for the overall metabolism of human cells. In fact, the causes of diseases have been simplified to very specific mechanisms, all of which center on cell membrane function and structure. Inflammation, oxidation, toxicity and mitochondrial dysfunction keep cell membranes from doing their job effectively. Algae contain high levels of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory micronutrients to fuel metabolism and detoxification. Also, they stoke the fires of the mitochondria, where cells make energy required to carry out their function. Of course, photosynthesis is the mechanism whereby plants in general and algae in particular, harness life-sustaining solar energy.

The elements and electrolytes in plankton are tailor-made for the human body.
It's no coincidence that the composition of human plasma is similar to that of seawater. Over reliance on land-based food sources often leads to deficiencies in micronutrients and trace elements. Our bodies need these elements to perform as nature intended. Left to its own devices, the human body has a marvelous system called homeostasis which keeps all systems in balance. Take away some critical component and the body experiences malfunctions that cause suboptimal performance. Too many malfunctions cause disease.

    Marine phytoplankton are the food utilized by the worlds largest and longest living animals and fish. Blue whales, bowhead whales, baleen whales, gray whales, humpbacks and right whales all eat plankton. These species live between 80 and 150 years, grow up to 14 meters long, weight up to 15 tons and are sexually active until they die.

Whales • 400 times the energy of any known plant
• Provides up to 90% of Earth's oxygen supply
• First food or plant on earth
• Microscopic algae that carry over 200 different species
• Most complete whole-food on the planet

Tom Harper made history by making the first and oldest food on earth, Marine Phytoplankton, available to mankind for the first time in history.

What is amazing about Marine Phytoplankton is that it is FIRST… the first food on earth… Tom Harper’s first sea farm of its kind on earth… and ForeverGreen is the first to market it exclusively!

It was discovered
out of necessity. Tom Harper was given weeks to months to live. Today, four years later, Tom lives to tell his story. Already, upon hearing Tom’s story, the demand around the world is becoming overwhelming. Tom's miraculous recovery continues to inspire the world.

Scientist and researchers have known for decades the enormous, widespread health benefits that Marine Phytoplankton can provide. Mankind could only dream of obtaining significant quantities of these microscopic plants for humans to consume without depleting the ocean and environment of the most vital food source … Until Now!

It all began with a brilliant discovery … After years of research, phytoplankton can now be grown and harvested in substantial quantity, while maintaining the delicate balance and natural purity of this vital micro-plant. This unique ‘state of the art’ technology and process is obtained on a $30 million sea farm in the Pacific North West.

This pristine Pacific Northwest beach is the home of the one-of-a-kind sea farm where Tom Harper created and maintains the exclusive, patent-pending process of growing and harvesting Marine Phytoplankton. Thousand liter tanks, in conjunction with eight million-liter tanks, are used to recreate the spring bloom each month, instead of only once a year.

Since marine phytoplankton live and grow in cool temperate waters, they are affected dramatically by the escalating concern of global warming. Our planet is beginning to show signs of oxygen levels weakening, which in time will diminish life on earth. This is not just an ordinary sea farm that challenges the environment, but one that gives back. A very small amount of sea water is brought into the facility to recreate the spring bloom on land. As water leaves the facility, it contains more phytoplankton going back into the ocean than what was originally brought in. It replenishes and provides a larger source of phytoplankton back to Mother Nature while supporting an amazingly diverse ecosystem around the farm.
